About

A public ledger of tech launches that start outside the EU: how long Europe waits, and when they finally arrive.

What this is

Interesting launches often ship as “available in the US” and then go quiet. This site keeps score: what is still waiting, what has arrived, and how many days it took. It is curated, not exhaustive.

What “available in Europe” means

The headline follows the European Union. If the EU is not available, the launch is Waiting. Once the EU is available, it is Finally in Europe and moves to Arrived.

Every region has exactly one of two statuses:

Available Not available

The five regions

United States
Where most launches start.
European Union
The headline region. It decides Waiting or Arrived.
United Kingdom
Tracked separately. It often moves on its own timeline.
Other Europe
Non-EU countries such as Switzerland and Norway.
Rest of World
Everywhere else.

The UK and Other Europe never change the headline. A region with no record counts as Not available. When a status changes, a new record is added; the latest one per region is current.

The counter

Days waiting

today − launch date

Counts up every day while the EU is not available.

Time to Europe

EU available date − launch date

Fixed once a launch arrives.

The launch date is the announcement date. Dates are calendar days in Europe/Amsterdam.

Evidence

Every recorded status links to evidence. Available needs an official source — an availability page, release notes, or an announcement — preferably archived.

Reports and tips can trigger a check, but never change a status on their own. The effective date is the date of the official source, or the first credible observation if the source has no date.

Limited rollouts

Waitlists, business-only access and platform exceptions (for example Mac but not iPhone) are decided case by case as Available or Not available. They don’t get extra statuses.

Why it stays small

A new status, field or page is added only when a real edge case demands it. So there are two statuses, five fixed regions, and no per-country map.

Corrections

Accuracy matters more than speed. There is no public inbox yet; once the site is live, a corrections link will be here and requests will be handled within 48 hours.
